The Red Sea is one of the most beautiful diving destinations in the world. It is famous for its unique flora and fauna and stunning coral reefs. One of the popular dive sites in Egypt is Ras Katy, a small stretch of coastline near the city of Sharm el Sheikh.

Features of the dive location
The dive site Ras Kati (Cape Catherine) is located in the Travco harbor area in a small bay. It is a sandy slope, populated with corals, gradually going to a depth of 20 meters. All the splendor of the reefs comes off already from a depth of two meters.
The five-meter shallow water is often used by divers to practice with neutral buoyancy. On the plateau at a distance of only a few tens of meters from each other are two coral erg with alcyonaria. The cliff, the slope of which is inhabited by corals, deserves a special admiration.
Diving in Ras Kati amazes with unusual relief and diversity of corals. Particular richness of fauna is observed in the area ergov: there are glass fish, swimming in abundance butterfly fish, crocodile fish, priacanthus, pseudantias, cesias, sea ruffs, as well as wings, cesias, spinorogi, rays.
The optimum depth to which scuba divers usually dive is 15 meters. Professional divers can dive to a depth of 25 meters. Visibility in the water is 10-30 meters, which allows you to fully admire all the beauty of the seascape. Currents in the area are usually weak, but can increase during high tide. Drift divers take advantage of this and swim about 400 meters to the Temple dive site. Along the way, they can enjoy magnificent views of coral gardens and acroporids.
Ras Kati is an excellent option for combination diving and night diving, intro and check dives. Favorable conditions allow organizing even children's dives. The only problem for divers is the glass-bottom tourist boats that moor in the bay in large numbers.
