Temple
According to legendary oceanographer Jacques Yves Cousteau, Ras Umm el-Sid Cove is one of the top 10 most beautiful places on the planet. Not surprisingly, the best coral reefs in Sharm el Sheikh are concentrated here. Thanks to a smooth set of depth to appreciate all the splendor of the reefs can even beginner divers. Not far from the shore are flocks of brightly colored small fish, but the true splendor is at the coral pillars of the Temple. They resemble the mysterious ruins of ancient sanctuaries, thanks to which the place is called Temple (Temple).

Thomas Reef is famous for its picturesque canyon, as well as three arches between which reef sharks hunt, scorpions and barracudas swim. The longest is Woodhouse (1.2 km). In the middle of the location there is one of the most dangerous places for divers, named “washing” because of the eddy currents pulling to the bottom. Diving usually takes place on the eastern slope, near the ruins of the old lighthouse. Divers are accompanied by gray or white-tip sharks, eagle rays, hammerhead fish.
Not far away is another reef - Jackson. It is chosen both for family boat trips and for extreme diving. In the last century, the ship “Lara” sank here, the remains of which became part of the reef walls.
Turtle Cove
This magnificent place will introduce connoisseurs of beauty to the amazing world of amphibians. The inhabitants of underwater gardens here are not only the usual fish - sea turtles are frequent guests. Their diet is made up of algae growing in abundance along the coral walls. In the summer season, dugongs swim here in search of plant delicacies.
Ras Mohammed Park
Diving on the southern coast of Sinai will not be complete if you have not visited the national park. Ras Mohammed is a nature reserve, a unique ecosystem that includes hundreds of species of coral, all kinds of fish.
In addition to stingrays, moray eels, seahorses and other underwater inhabitants divers are especially impressed by corals. Flat and wide plateaus of the reef are replaced by steep mountains dotted with colorful corals. The age of some parts of the reef, which is about 150 million years old, makes a special impression.
